What's New in the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Family

The 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee lineup is the most extensive nameplate offering, with three distinct models catering to different customer needs. The family now includes the two-row Grand Cherokee, three-row Grand Cherokee L, and the innovative Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid. Each model maintains Jeep's legendary capability while delivering premium features and advanced technology.

The Expanded Grand Cherokee Family

For 2025, Jeep continues to build on the Grand Cherokee's legacy as the most-awarded SUV ever. The traditional two-row Grand Cherokee serves as the cornerstone of the lineup, while the Grand Cherokee L caters to families needing three-row versatility with seating for up to seven passengers. The Grand Cherokee 4xe rounds out the family as the most technologically advanced variant, offering exceptional efficiency with up to 42 kilometres of all-electric range and fuel consumption as low as 4.2 Le/100 km.

Breaking Down the 2025 Model Range

The standard Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L are available in four distinct trim levels. The Laredo is the entry point, offering essential features and Jeep's renowned 4x4 capability powered by the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine, producing 293 horsepower and a class-leading towing capacity of 6,200 pounds. The Limited trim adds premium touches and additional comfort features, including heated second-row seats and enhanced exterior accents.

Moving up to the Overland brings more luxury appointments, including available length-adjustable cushions for front-row passengers and 16-way adjustable seats with power lumbar and memory functions. The Summit trim tops the range with standard Gloss Black roof treatment, the most advanced safety features, and exclusive interior options, including the available 19-speaker McIntosh audio system.

4xe: The Electrified Grand Cherokee Option

The 2025 Grand Cherokee 4xe introduces a simplified lineup with three distinct packages. The base 4xe, Canada-exclusive Altitude 4xe, and Anniversary Edition 4xe each offer unique features and styling elements. The Altitude 4xe package stands out with its Gloss Black exterior accents, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and Capri Leatherette seats. All 4xe models feature a sophisticated plug-in hybrid system combining two electric motors, a 400-volt battery pack, and a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, delivering 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.

Technology and Safety Advancements

The 2025 lineup showcases Jeep's latest technology offerings, centered around the advanced Uconnect 5 system. The interior features up to three 10.1-inch and two 10.25-inch digital displays, including a segment-first front passenger interactive display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with the ability to pair two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

Safety remains a top priority with more than 110 advanced features available. New for 2025, select models offer L2+ Hands-free Active Driving Assist, allowing for hands-free operation on approved highways while maintaining driver attention. The system can even execute lane changes when activated by the turn signal, provided adjacent lanes are clear.

The 2025 Grand Cherokee continues to be manufactured at the Detroit Assembly Complex, with both the Jefferson and Mack plants handling production duties. Available in seven exterior colours including Baltic Grey, Diamond Black Crystal, and Velvet Red, the new Grand Cherokee family offers Canadian buyers more choices than ever to match their specific needs and preferences.
